It had been a long time since I had last shot a wedding. So long in fact that my last wedding was shot on film *gasp*. I was especially worried because Vanessa is an old friend of mine. We’ve known each other since we were 3 and despite the fact that we have both moved around a lot, we have been in and out of each others lives ever since. Having known Vanessa for so long, I think I am qualified to say that she is one of the loveliest people. When I heard that she was getting married, I knew that it must be to someone pretty special. Vanessa has high standards so I expect big things from Beau! I only had the opportunity to meet Beau very briefly the day before the wedding, but in that time it became very apparent that Vanessa is his world. Their love for each other was so clear, so sweet and so beautiful. I hope it shows through in the photos, because I know that everyone who got to see them tie the knot could see how in love they are. Ness and Beau, I wish you both all the happiness and joy that marriage brings.

His gorgeous mum is part of the NSW Rural Fire Brigade, who I’m sure I don’t need to tell you, do an amazing service to communities across the state. His mum wanted to have a photo that paid homage to this part of her life so we did a few set-ups but this little jacket (which was borrowed from a bear no less) was the perfect fit. Such a gorgeous little guy!
